There is nothing wrong with your television set. Do not attempt to adjust the picture. We are controlling transmission. We will control the horizontal, we will control the vertical. We can change the focus to a soft blur or sharpen it to crystal clarity.

For the next hour, sit quietly and we will control all that you see and hear. You are about to participate in a great adventure. You are about to experience the awe and mystery which reaches from the inner mind to the Outer Limits.

There were six people who loved to watch television, but they didn’t like what they saw. Armed with determination and a strong will to change the course of television, they wrote their own shows, but that wasn’t enough, they had to sell them.

They went straight to the networks, but the networks were not ready for them. But did that stop them? No. They built their own network and they liked what they saw.
